Since 2011, shop founder Dan Kostrzewski has been responsible for product, ad, web, email, in-store, storytelling, team bio and ecomm copy for the First Ascent brand. Kostrzewski generated editorial content, participated in creative concepting and evolved the voice of the First Ascent brand in collaboration with First Ascent design, merchandising, athlete and marketing teams as well as parnering with an extensive network of team memebers from product designers and merchandisers to mountain guides and Senior Vice Presidents to drive forward the voice of the technical brand during a period of significant sales growth and brand elevation.
In collaboration with a core team of three, shop founder Dan Kostrzewski concepted, developed and executed a new, highly profitable idea for the editorial product-and-brand storytelling quarterly Outfitter Book that resulted in dramatic sales growth and elevated the prestige of both the First Ascent and the Eddie Bauer brands with a young, active and core demographic through two full years of Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall volumes.
Following on the sucess of these books, Kostrzewski also spearheaded social media content strategy that resulted in eight-fold growth in impressions and engagement during a six-month period. His editorial work also elevated the storytelling strategy of the Born Out There blog through a new execution and he co-concepted as well as created all copy for national advertising for the First Ascent brand in 2011 and 2012.
